3rd edition, 1987 J. Donad M Gass. Pages 801, 2410. Illustrations, 133 Steroscopic views on 19 viewmaster reels in 2 volumes. Price: $241 per set. Published by: Mosby

Distributors in India: B.I. Publications (P) Ltd., 61-63 Lakshmi Building, Sir Phirozshah Mehta Road, Bombay - 400 001.

This monograph on disorders of the macula deals with all primary and secondary lesions of the macula with black and white photographs, illustrations and fluorescein angiography pictures. There is an adequate description of all the conditions and a chapter on Laser treatment of macular diseases. The steroscopic viewmaster reels are excellent but one wishes that with such an expensive book a foldable viewmaster was also provided. This book is a must for all libraries and posterior segment surgeons.
