Dear Editor,

We thank Koppikar et al.[1] for their interest in our article. [2] We have noticed posterior subluxation of rollable ultrathin IOLs following Nd:YAG capsulotomy. [2] We have also reported anterior subluxation of plate haptic IOL. [3],[4]

The thin plate of haptic of rollabe intraocular lens can get subluxated in the anterior chamber through the relaxing incision of the anterior capsulorhexis. Therefore, an intact continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis and in-the-bag implantation is essential to prevent such a complication. Hence, a relaxing radial YAG laser cut on the anterior capsule may lead to anterior subluxation of the rollable IOL.

Although anterior subluxation of the plate haptic lens is rare, it has been reported in the past.
