A 72-year-old gentleman presented with defective vision in the right eye for the past 6 months. He underwent scleral buckling in that eye 5 years ago. Fundus examination revealed shallow subretinal fluid in the inferonasal quadrant and buckle intrusion nasally with fibrosis and pigmentation. Fundus autofluorescence using Optos wide field imaging revealed a whitish band extending from 1-5 o' clock position with retinal detachment inferonasally [Figure 1].

Clinical examination and B-scan ultrasonography can give information regarding the presence of buckle intrusion,[1],[2] but autofluorescence can delineate the extent and aid in planning the surgical approach more effectively.
