Two patients presented with a complaint of cosmetic blemish over their left eyelid. On slit lamp, we found a completely subcutaneously erupting and coursing eyelash. As per the request of a patient, it was removed. The other patient was lost to follow up [Figure 1].{Figure 1}

The lash can grow either subconjunctivally (cilium incarnatum internum) or subcutaneously (cilium incarnatum externum)[1] Etiological factors include local pathologies,[2],[3],[4] heredity, and frequent rubbing of the eyelids.

It may be mistaken for a nodule or a comedo.[3] Another complaint can be pricking on rubbing eyelids. Hardly any reports have been there after the one in 2017.[5]

Declaration of patient consent
