Response

We agree with the author's response that PNV is associated with the presence of Type 1 choroidal neovascularization, in between the RPE and Bruch's membrane, in the absence of soft drusen's and reduced fundus tessellation due to choroidal thickening at a younger age and all of the above features were seen in the case we have reported.[1]

PNV, as described in the literature,[2] is associated with localized choroidal thickening and dilated choroidal vessels as seen with enhanced depth optical coherence tomography. However, in our case, the changes are more generalized with diffuse RPE changes and choroidal thickening and there could be an antecedent CSCR component that cannot be ruled out. We agree that there may be an overlap between the two entities in our case. However, here we define the importance of reflectivity of the flat irregular PEDs,[3] which is unique.
