Fig. 6. The papila together with the neighbouring sclera has been excised during enuclcation. Apparently the wound of a cyclodialysis performed previously, the scar of which was not very tight, must have been opened up by pressure and some content of the eye, especially parts of the retina, protruded. The eye must have become very soft by this anterior opening and by that the postrior part of the globe must have been extended tentshaped and excised when the eyeball must have been pulled upon while cutting the optic nerve. |
