Clinical wide field Specular Microscopy by Daniel J. Mayer, M.D., Bailliere lindall, Ist Annies Road, East borne, East Sussex, BN 21 3 UN, London, 1984.

This book has 117 pages, 8 Chapters and beautiful Photographs to illustrate. £ 19.50.

This book is excellent tretise for the wider uses of corneal endothelium specular microscope. The specular microscopy of corneal endothelium is essential equipment for corneal and I.O.L. Surgeons. The book is divided into various sections, describing historical backgrounds, optical basis, instruments currently available and specular microscopy of pathological conditions of cornea. The specular micrography has been correlated with normal ocular anatomy, ocular pathology and finally clinical situation thus helping the management.

The chapter on clinical applications of specular microscopy is thought provoking. The book is best for practising Ophthalmologists and those in training besides the corneal and I.O.L. Surgeons.
