Clinical Ophthalmology - a text and colour atlas:

James L. Kennerley Bankes, Published by Churchill Livingstone, Edinburgh, London, Melbourne and New York, 2nd edition 1987, Pages 130.

Indian Agents: B.1. Publications (P) Ltd., 61-63, Lakshmi Building, 4th Floor, Sir Phirozshah Mehta Road, Bombay - 400 001.

This beautiful atlas cum text book is meant for medical students, general practitioners, ophthalmic assistants and beginners in ophthalmology and is not meant for a qualified established well experienced ophthalmologist. First edition was published in 1982 and this second edition in 1987. The main emphasis in the second edition is on pseudophakia, fundus appearances and antiviral agents.

It contains 15 chapters spread out over 130 pages. The printing as well as the paper are excellent. The illustrations and photographs are of high quality. The text is written in a very abridged way with enough space and big margins to take any additional notes or remarks by the reader.

This atlas can serve as a quick reference book for the general practitioners during their clinical practice. It is a good book to generate interest in ophthalmology among the medical students and interns.
