Dear Editor,

We thank Dr. Thomas and colleagues for making very pertinent suggestion based on their vast experiences on our article. [1]

We fully agree with them regarding the improved methodology of inoculation of corneal scrapes. It may be possible to recover some bacteria including the slow growing bacteria. We have followed the guidelines mentioned in the article by Srinivasan et al . [2] In their study, they had incubated for a maximum of 48 hours.

We also appreciate the suggestion regarding correlation of risk factors and the type of organism ultimately isolated. In fact, we are now trying to work on that.
