Dr.S.L. Bhalla (1912-1990)
Born in 1912, Dr. Bhalla did his licenciate course from the then Agra Medical School in 1932 and later on L.O. from Madras in 1938. He joined his services in erstwhile Jodhpur state as Ophthalmic Surgeon. After some time he got his services transferred to Bikaner state and continued to work as Ophthalmic Surgeon in various hospitals of the state and later on under Government of Rajasthan. He also worked in P.B.M. Hospital, Bikaner as Eye Surgeon, from where he was transferred to district hospital, after this hospital became part of S.P. Medical College, Bikaner in 1959.
He retired from Government services in 1967-68 and settled in Hanumangarh (Dist. Ganganagar). He expired on May 20, 1990 leaving behind two daughters, one son, six grand children and one great grand son.
